Getting to Los Baños

Getting to the Biomodd Lab at UPOU

Lab time (i.e., designing and building the structure), planning sessions, and course seminars will all be held in the Oblation Hall of UPOU's headquarters.

By shuttle

If you sign up for a place on the weekly shuttle to/from Los Banos/Diliman, you won't need these directions. Sign up for the shuttle

By bus

Take an HM Transport bus that says "Sta. Cruz, Laguna" on the front. The station is on EDSA Cubao near the Victory Liner terminal. The fare costs about P107. Ask to get off at "South", meaning the South Supermarket, which is directly across the road from UP Open University. South will be on your left; UPOU on your right. Here are some images of UPOU to help cue you when to get off. The building you see there is the headquarters.

Getting to the Biomodd House

First you make your way to the main UPLB (not UPOU) gate.

By car: Enter the main UPLB gate, then turn right. Just follow the road as it goes left then straight again. You're already on Kanluran Road. You'll eventually
drive past a school with a chapel (Christian School International) on your left side. Then there'll be a gate of a subdivision on the right (Sacay Village) up ahead. Turn left by the time you make it beside the gate. As you follow that road, you'll see the UPLB Library on you left, and then a bridge up ahead. Cross that bridge and then turn right to the uphill road (Forestry). Once you drive past the UPLB Infirmary, the UPOU Guest House will be close by on your left.

By jeep: During the day, jeepneys enter the UPLB campus and can drop you right in front of the guest house. You can also walk from the UPLB gate; takes about 15-20 minutes:

Biking around Los Banos?

Does anyone know any bike shops in the area where one can rent or buy bikes for cheap? That would probably be very useful!
